Useful data Wood energy The amount of energy released by wood is highly dependant upon the moisture content. As a general principle, wood for use as a fuel should be dried as much as possible. We advise that wood-chip is dried and burnt at an average of 30% moisture and should not exceed a maximum of 35%, unless the boiler manufacturers specifies a higher moisture content. |
